Pack Adventure: Eldorado Canyon Trail
Join us for a stunning canyon hike through one of Colorado’s hidden gems — Eldorado Canyon Trail! With dramatic cliffs, forested switchbacks, and wide, scenic overlooks, this trail offers great exposure for dogs needing confidence-building and calm reactivity work.
📍 Location: Eldorado Canyon Trail – Meet at Eldorado Canyon State Park Visitor Center
📏 Distance: ~6.6 miles out-and-back
⛰️ Elevation Gain: ~1,978 ft – expect some incline and rocky footing
🕓 Pace: Slow and steady – with plenty of time for breaks, decompression, and training
🐕 Dog-Friendly? Yes – dogs are welcome on leash. Moderate foot traffic, so we’ll work on space management and calm exposure.
Expect canyon walls, pine-scented trails, and a group that fully understands the ups and downs of life with a reactive dog.

Pack Hike Guidelines
For a safe and respectful hike for everyone:
🦮 Leashes required – 6 ft non-retractable preferred for control on narrow sections
🤝 No on-leash greetings unless clearly agreed upon
💩 Pick up after your pup – please bring your own waste bags
🚸 Children must not approach dogs unless invited by the handler
🧠 Give all dogs space – especially those who are working through reactivity or anxiety
💬 Always ask before approaching or petting any dog
❤️ Show up with patience, kindness, and zero judgment – we’re all here to support each other
🎒 Bring water for you and your pup, treats, and appropriate trail gear (harness, boots, etc.)
